FORWARD FLOWING
How Barlingbo Brewery Tackles Sustainable Water Treatment Amidst Rapid Growth
GARAGE
TO GROWTH
In 2014, friends Jonny Warg and Niklas Gustavsson kicked off Barlingbo Bryggeri in Jonny’s garage with a modest 50 L brewing setup, initially as a hobby. Fast forward to today, they're pumping out a staggering 50,000 L of brews daily.
Despite their growth, their dedication to quality remains unwavering. As Barlingbo expanded, so did their product line, prompting thoughts of bottling water. Yet, Gotland's hard water posed a flavor challenge, spurring Jonny to seek solutions for enhancing their water quality.
Transforming operations
In the summer of 2019, SWT implemented its innovative system at Barlingbo Bryggeri in Visby. Initially in its prototype stage, significant progress was made over thefollowing year, resulting in a more stable and efficient system. Jonny is especially impressed by the system's minimal maintenance requirements, enhancing operational ease at the brewery. Since then, the system has remained unchanged, consistently producing high-quality drinking water for sale.
