SKF VestaSi, a leading global manufacturer of silicon nitride materials, is undergoing a transformation at its manufacturing facility in Ljungaverk. The facility is being revamped into a cutting-edge, energyefficient production hub, with SWT's innovative water de-hardening solution playing a pivotal role in achieving VestaSi's sustainability objectives.
CAP3D IN VestaSi
Water de-hardening stands out as a crucial application for SWT, thanks to its advanced CAP3D technology capable of efficiently removing minerals like calcium, magnesium, and carbonates from water. This technology represents a rare chemical-free solution, offering significant potential for reducing operationalcosts and CO2 emissions.
SWT's STRӦM, powered by CAP3D technology, is deployed to de-harden water for humidifiers within the manufacturing facility. The primary focus is on mitigating scaling issues while ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the humidifier components.
SWT and VestaSi are actively exploring additional applications within the production facility. Further updates are on the way.
